Thanks stan..  took me a while to actually get around to doing the transformation as Id spent ages trying to build a scheme I was happy with, yet still in line with the old forum style.

SMF is much better once you get used to it.
Word of warning though..  I know you have a phpbb forum.

This version RC3 was only released last week and although the actual build of the forum software itself is pretty good ....

There isnt a proper converter yet for phpbb >> SMF RC3.. thats been released.
Well there is one, but its full of bugs.. so unless you want to spend hours pouring over the php config and mysql data like I did.. then dont bother until theyve ironed out all the bugs in the forum converter.

For creating a quote (similar to the icons for Bold, Italic etc) only it saves having to type the code each time if only wanting to quote part of the subject. "[ quote] nice work [ /quote]" (altered so it did not show as a quote).

Thanks, I missed that one.

Now, as for font, when I click the font icon, am I supposed to re-type the 10pt, to the size required,
only it always says 10pt?
(ps) must remember not to press F5 whilest looking at preview, because I just lost my last message. :-X

Yes, I believe so.

heh - you'll soon learn not to ;)

Kitz, this looks brilliant :) You've obviously done a lot of work on this, and it's certainly paid off. Definitely a very refreshing change from PHPBB. Well done you :)

Here's to (hopefully) no spam bots anymore!!

Looking good kitz  :D

SMF looks very nice and i can imagine you had lots of fun migrating the forum in the early hours  ???

The one thing which I would say I dont like is how everything now appears as unread! But i'm not making a fuss as I can imagine that was one of the few trade offs in moving to this new super-duper, secure, feature packed, flashy design.

Nice one  ;)

lol @ you lot...  now what do you want?

talking of which glad you like the smilies..   I couldnt actually find a pack that I liked..
So I put together some that were up my emotes site that had a similar style or look about them.

They actually came out a bit bigger than I thought they would when on the forum.... but I may add some more when I get chance.
