I now have a stable line with a nice increase.

Connection Speed  8369 kbps   1020 kbps
Line Attenuation   41.5 db   21.0 db
Noise Margin   3.3 db   7.0 db

I will have a play with your xDSL graphing scripts Bald so thanks for that.

You seem to have gained nearly another 1 Mbps DS throughput, which is definitely nice!  :)

Just take care that you do not "push" your line too hard.  :-X

Well just an update on my quest to improve my ADSL speed.

I have now settled on a DGteam GT834N. With a 55% SNR tweak this router gave me the fastest most stable connection.

ADSL Link   Downstream   Upstream
Connection Speed   9093 kbps   1020 kbps
Line Attenuation   42.0 db   19.6 db
Noise Margin   3.5 db   9.8 db

I am now looking at a virgin broadband only with a voip phone. This is after a chat with a friend saying they have improved there game in the Bournemouth BH6 area. I suppose I could cancel the contract if I am not happy. :-\

That looks like a nice connection. I would be quite happy with that . . . for myself. Obviously yours is not a single user household.

Well, if finances permit, you could have the Virgin Media service installed and keep the current TalkTalk LLU'd line as well. Then, after a suitable number of months, decide which service to keep and which "to do away with".
