I have just encountered something strange: After connecting to my neighbours BTOpenzone-H network I opened my browser to login - but all I got was "Connection timed out". As it turned out I could not resolve any domains, but pinging any IPs was without a problem. So I connected to a vpn (via an IP, not a hostname) and I am now browsing the web over this Openzone without being logged in.
Is this a common occurrence? What could be the reason for this?
