Extend main phone line wires
«

Is it possible to extend the main phone cable coming into the house (as in the ones in the master socket, 2 & 5)? I would like to re-locate my master socket. Also, how would I go about using CAT6 cable for a telephone extension?

Are you wiring straight from the dropwire (black cable mostly comes as orange/white green/black wires) or is there other cabling from that? if dropwire 10 (as above) then just crimp your orange/white to the blue/white wiring on the internal cable and run to where needed. Now if you want extensions downstairs also, then punch orange/white into the extension face plate 2&5....and run off from there if needed. Hope that explains what your after?

I'm sure you know that only BT are allowed to do that.
