Its updatable..  I was just surprised at what it was migrated across as when the other parts of the site weren't
7.3.33 is the 2024 security release for 7.3x.  It will be updated to 8.x. The SMF software is also fully patched.

I will however be updating to the new SMF version, the problem with that is, its totally different and it needs a new skin. Its cosmetic things that need doing.
In other words at the very least... I need a new top header doing for the navigation.  I really cannot do that now.

If anyone is creative with html/css and is able to do something that works with one of the basic skins it would be appreciated.  Ive pushed through barriers this past week to get back up and make sure everything is secure, I physically cant do anything else just yet.

Feel free to drop me an email, I am no designer but I have been doing HTML since the early early days (oh how I miss Macromedia).

I can only apologise for the past few days down time.  :'(

I started to write an explanation, but I'm afraid Im done.
I'll just leave it as some weird type of UTF-8 and ISO-8859-1 discrepancy that can be fun to fix

and the saga continues.

I realised this morning that the forum front page wasnt available to anyone unless they were previously logged in.
If you tried to directly access the url http://forum.kitz.co.uk or from a bookmark all you see was a white page.
Yet you could go to any of the forum pages or posts by following a full url.

If you were logged in it would be ok.   I seem to be going round in circles trying to fix things and not yet able to have the time to sort out the cosmetic things and also the large upgrade to new forum software.  The existing code is all patched and secure, its the techy stuff like utf-8 that is being troublesome.

Ive temp switched back to latin whilst I look at some of the code in the mods.
