Zen Download test files
«
on:

Hi,
I would like to know the difference between the zero and none zero files on the Zen site, eg.
10MB_nonzero.bin
10MB_zero.bin
Can someone tell me the difference please?
Thanks,
Terry.

One is filled with zero bytes (highly compressible data) and one is filled with random data (i.e non-compressible).
ADSL modems don't compress data, so there's not much point in having both those files up there, unless someone else can come up with a reason...
In theory both of those files should download at the same speed
