Friday Quiz November 9th...Sport
« on: November 09, 2007, 10:26:44 AM »

It is not a serious sports quiz.
Even I found it fairly easy and I would sooner watch paint dry than sport (except for golf).

Sport

1. Which sport is played with the heaviest ball?

2. Which golfer’s real first name is Eldrick?

3. How many balls are there on a snooker table at the start of a game?

4.The American equivalent of the Premiership is the MLS. What does MLS stand for?

5. In which year was the first ever football world cup?

6. Before becoming a writer, what was the occupation of Dick Francis ?

7. By what name did the Empire Stadium become known?

8. Which sports goods company was founded by Joseph Foster in 1892? They now sponsor a Premiership team in the north west.

9. In rugby union the Australian team is called The Wallabies; what is their name in rugby league?

10. Juventus is a famous soccer club from which city?

Good luck and I'll post the answers on Sunday
