Hi,

I've just picked up a 2nd hand Billion 7700N and looking to confirm firmware versions. On the UK Billion site I can't locate ANY firmware.

My router says :-
Model Name:    BiPAC 7700N
Software Version:    B038_N28_GH_UK-00-2426
Bootloader (CFE) Version:    1.0.37-106.5
DSL PHY and Driver Version:   A2pD030g.d22j
Wireless Driver Version:    5.60.120.3.cpe4.406.0

Can any advise ?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes I have. There isn't anything on there except the User Guide, not even a download of the current firmware. I think I'll join that site and post a question.

http://au.billion.com/product/wireless/fd_wireless/bipac7700n.php   might come with some dust and flies  ;D  and I know they will say here it won't be supported as it's from downunder but people do use the Aussie firmware where needs must.
It does seem very odd that they do not even offer the current pack for download. I would email the UK support staff for an answer.

Thanks. I had seen that and considered.

I have had the router up and running but at the moment reverted back to my old DG834GT. Just using ethernet the 7700N was fine and there was an improvement by over half a meg on the connection rates (from 16300 to 17150) but wireless was terrible. I didn't get much time to 'play' with the wireless settings as the family were anxious to get Internet back, so as they are out tonight I might have another play.

I picked the unit up 2nd hand and only have the previous owners word that all is fine and dandy.
