Too much data extracted ?
« on: February 13, 2012, 09:53:45 AM »

Gentlefolk,

I do sometimes wonder if "big Brother" is going too far ?

Yet we must all be very grateful when despicable plots are uncovered before serious damage is done.

Kind regards,
Walter

I do sometimes wonder if paranoia is yet another  insidious  'import' from the USA into the UK, like bad spelling and burgers  :'(

I have no problem with the authorities tracking my Oyster card.  It is up here in North Yorkshire where there are no Oyster card readers, and so I am off the map!

If they are just collecting data for the sake of it that is wrong, and although the original data is no longer available after two months do the police distroy their copy?

This data should only be given when it is a request for an individual or group of named individuals and has a court order requesting it.
