PwnedList is a tool that allows an average person to check if their accounts have been compromised. No passwords are stored in our database. You can read more about where our data comes from here. Just enter an email address or username associated with any of your accounts to see if it's on our list.

Check whether any of your email accounts have been "Pwned" .  Have hackers had access to or used your accounts?

If your email addy is not on their list before you put it in, it sure will be when you do enter it.

I'm not sceptical really.

Being an old cynic could get you sued  ;D  The folk that run that site are well known security specialists and hardly likely to risk their futures for a few email addresses.
The site does not collect data and you can input via the hashes system which would make it impossible to know what you entered.

Stephen Thomas ( http://dvlabs.tippingpoint.com/team/apuzic ) is one of those responsible for the site/list.

Being an old cynic is what has kept me off their list maybe.
I tried two email addresses and neither were on the list. If I now receive spam on either of the addresses I most certainly will know how they became known to spammers.
Yes Scotties mum i would like to know what an average person is.!!

Have hackers had access to or used your accounts?

Well I've just entered the most spammed Gmail account that I have.....it regularly gets 15 - 20 per day ranging from Viagra through 419's to Russian females who want to get to know me....but "NOPE".

Being sent spam is not the same as having your account hacked or your details used by others.
