heh tbh Im not much of a footie fan these days, although as a teenager I did sometimes go see a seasiders home match when it used to cost something like 50p rather than the ridiculous money they seem to want these days. :-\

Kimi's dad was a Scouser and a staunch LFC fan, but since we split football, just doesnt seem to really interest me and I can probably count on one hand the number of matches Ive watched since. :-[

Enjoy the match UB and may the best team win  ;D

Well on paper that is Blackpool, but you never know with cup football.

I have seen the Owls play at Blackpool a few times over the years,in fact I use to travel all over the country to see them, health reasons now stop from going but have always been/always will be an Owls fan,use to walk to the match when I was a boy as the ground was only about 25 minutes walk from home.  :)

>>> when I was a boy as the ground was only about 25 minutes walk from home

The traditional football - where people always supported their home team, you walked to the match or caught the bus.
It was cheap to get in and you could afford it with your pocket money.  You stood for most of the match, and half time consisted of a pie and cup of tea in styrofoam mug.

Out of curiousity I just looked up the prices of a stand ticket for todays match
Adults £25, U16s £15.

Not a cheap day out any more is it  :o

And thats quite cheap by the some of the big premier league clubs

My dad was at Hilsborough when they had their biggest ever crowd (1934) over 72,000 that day. They use to pass all the young lads down over their shoulders to the front so they could see and didn't get crushed.

When I first use to go it was 6d to get in and 2d for a programme  ;D (and we had real butter on our bread)  :D

Allow standing, halve the ticket price, twice as many spectators and more pie sales.
More money for the club.

OK, it was only a dream.
