Thank you. It is almost purrfect . . . I just need to concatenate the two halves, convert it from DOS to Unix line endings, temporarily remove the header, sort it and then put it back together as one document!  :P

Sounds like it's time you got yourself a proper OS then, such as MS Windows ???

With his head held high and his tail held even higher, b*cat stalks off and treats the baldy_bird's post with the contempt it deserves (whilst muttering something about arranging for a Liverbird to fly over to Devil Worshipping Land and attend to that irritating little eagle) . . .  :-X

Not wishing to gloat, b*cat reminds Bald_Eagle1 of the following fact [1]:

Liverpool FC 5 - Oldham Athletic FC 1

Why, thank you b*cat for that totally useless piece of information.

Here's some for you:-

Both teams' emblems feature birds of prey (that eat small mammals like cats), one of which apparently started off as an eagle, until the Scousers made up a story about mythical birds that flap their wings if they ever see a virgin, or an honest man in the streets of Liverpool

This is really [OT] but I would like to suggest to baldy_bird that I am not a "small mammal" when one views this image at the correct resolution . . .

(Assuming, of course, that one has a monitor that can cope with such a superior image.  ;)  )

https://www.google.com/fusiontables/DataSource?snapid=S351604JNil

This is the online searchable document of the December data, for England only.

blanks have been removed. so if you dont find your postcode, there's no plan for a cabinet atm.

Just been looking at the spreadsheet for an area I'm moving to ... could someone decode what the entry actually means -

Quote

WWEXMO,EXMOUTH,EX84NR,{WWEXMO}{P23},0,100%,11.66,9a,Yes,FTTC

  :)

EDIT: Never mind, I think I understand it now ...

OK, I'll post my rough understanding ...

The Exmouth exchange's cabinet P23 will provide 100% FTTC coverage for postcode EX84NR. The "uplift" (a multiplier of current ADSL speed) is 11.66. The FTTC will be deployed in phase 9a.  ???

Your rough understanding seems to have no roughness about it whatsoever!  :clap2:

In that excellent interpretation, there was one item missing . . . the fifth field of the record (the 0) tells us that all the lines originating from that postcode area are not "Exchange Only" (EO) lines.  :)

I was troubled for a moment but when I searched by postcode the right result appeared!  It says "deployed" and I believe our exchange is due to go FTTC end of June - so what does "deployed" mean here?  Is that 100% categoric in terms of coverage in the postcode?  *crosses everything*
