The one and only time I had one was a fixed penalty of £35 for up to 95 mph (although he said I was doing 98mph but ‘let me off’) and 3 points - no idea what it would be now, or what the upper thresholds are  :-[

Well, even with the down time we got some good answers but all of you would starve if looking for a knife and fork for a meal sign.
(Having tasted dozens of motorway meals and snacks it may be better to starve.)  :lol:

Must admit I'm embarassed not knowing the gradient signage  :-[ I go up/down a 1-in-3 every day and hadn't noticed it changing.  I expect the sign is in the same place it's always been - lesson in observance for me there!
