Just to offer another option, is this the monitor you want? : http://www.ebuyer.com/206302-iiyama-e2208hdd-22-lcd-monitor-ple2208hdd-b

If it is,it is available from other sellers on the Amazon site, just a bit more expensive. You will still be covered by the Amazon returns/refund policy if not happy when you receive it.

>>> I have just don e some checking and the outputs from the NVIDIA card is DVD-i & vga.

Yes thats what I have too.

I think from doing a bit of research, that its possible to connect VGA monitors to the DVI output on the graphics card with an adapter.. but its not so easy if you want to put a DVI monitor onto the VGA output. :(

>> Which model is it you are after,is the one in the link the one they have sent you?

Yes its the one in the link that they sent as a replacement.  There seems to be a slight anomaly with the E2008's with the final letter designating the input type.  The one I ordered clearly says DVD-I, VGA on my order for the E2008-B

The one I received says E2208HDD-B which has DVD-I and D-SUB ports.

Yes... thank you eric that looks like it..  but Im concerned over the model number E2208HDD 22 LCD

The product description clearly states..  "Analogue and Digital inputs guarantees flexible connectivity. " and "VGA DVI HDCP".

But then below that it says:  "Input connector: DVI-D, D-Sub"

Now im confused.

D-sub = VGA?
On a monitor, yes.

From the dreaded W-P:
A Video Graphics Array (VGA) connector is a three-row 15-pin DE-15 connector.
DE-15 is also conventionally called RGB connector, D-sub 15, mini sub D15, mini D15, DB-15, HDB-15, HD-15 or HD15 (High Density, to distinguish it from the older and less flexible DE-9 connector used on older VGA cards, which has the same shell size but only two rows of pins).

You will need to set up the monitors manually because like Eric said you no longer have plug & play on your second monitor.

Good luck at the docs.

YAYYYYY finally got there in the end.    Not the set up that I originally wanted, but I now have it working after lots of messing and cable swapping.

I wanted to retain my original + true 22" Iiyama as monitor 1 with the new monitor as secondary as its slightly smaller.
This wasnt to be though new monitor is now primary (and slightly smaller) running from the DVI-D, whilst Ive swapped the old one from DVI-D to now run via the D-sub port.   It just wasnt happening the other way round.

I wasnt able to get it working via the nvidia software, but its now running fine just using the windows PnP management in windows display properties.

There is only one slight weirdness and that is I think possibly to do with the graphics card and because windows is handling the dual monitor display...  and that is boot up window always starts with the 2nd monitor and its not until windows has loaded that display is via the designated primary monitor.

Display is really sharp and bright but that is possibly because (a) its newer (b) its on the DVI-D port (c) its HDD
