Gentlefolk,
BT has confirmed that a "power failure" at a major exchange in Birmingham is causing problems for broadband customers across the UK.

One might have hoped that such a large mission-critical function would have a total dual-redundant configuration but sadly this does not seem to be so.

Thanks for the information, Walter. As you say, it's a bit sad that a central function like this isn't backed up reliably.
