It just shows what Vista represents. The whole thing has turned into a rushed job. The new security features were one of the things we are told will be better, since other enhancements such as the WinFS file system had the plug pulled. I am guessing at present all of the six pointless editions are affected lol

Considering the original release date of (Jan 2006) has now come and gone I suppose they feel they need to rush it-up a little.
This is one person who most certainly will not be using it, (not even a free version) there are far too many "quirks" in it for my liking, such as media player, not allowing you to play copies, plus whatever else it has hidden away.
I re-loaded XP last week, then DL "ALL 50 updates" which took another 1 GB of space.
If MS were to come clean in the beginning as to exactly how much space is really required, then I think most people would think twice.
Instead of feeding all these so called security patches in drips and drabs, some of which have been proved to be spyware.
Then there is the issue of "which version to purchase"

I can't even get my head round Win2000, let alone XP and Vista.
Call me old fashioned (I really won't mind at all) but if I want to watch TV I turn the TV on. If I want music I put a CD in the stereo or turn the radio (non digital) on. If I want to play with a spreadsheet or write a letter I turn the PC on.
Not necessarily against convergence, but it always seems to be at the cost of quality, complication and convenience. When did you last have to scan your TV for viruses?

It's raining! First decent rain for about 3 months. Plants will be pleased, cat less than impressed, she was out for about 15 mins before I noticed it was chucking it down.

This is purely designed to TRY to STOP people from copying disc's.
(Which we all know will never happen).
