Title: Ever had one of those days/weeks.
Post by: kitz on October 10, 2007, 03:04:04 PM
First of all a "mate" lets you down - and you end up digging up a pile of tree roots by yourself and shifting soil in buckets.
Then you realise that you cant put flags down yourself so things come to a standstill when youre let down again.
Not to mention the electrical stuff that seems to have gone wrong around the house.
.. and the Media Centre I built that wont seem to work properly - not because of the build - but because of Vista &, the sound system, the keyboard, the wireless etc.

Then to top it off Chas has been missing since Sunday.  Ive done the usual vets/RSCPA/ going round the houses..
and just spent a fruitless 2 & 1/2 hours attempting to get my printer to print out some leaflets
grrr I hate epsom and their damn cartridge system....  so I do a pile of stuff trying to get it to accept the new cartridfges...
and when I finally manage to get it to print out a page 2 hours later its such pee-poor quality that its not worth bothering about.

Still dont know about Chas cause the RSPCA say theres been a report of a white long haired found dead near here.
Ive rung up the lady who reported it, but the body has disappeared before it could be collected/identified :(

Oh dear, only just seen this too :(

It may still not be Chas... I know it's a long time for him to be missing but he's a toughie.

Are the cartridges those compatibles that I bought? I'd have hoped they'd have been ok but obviously not - sorry :(

Hugs

Just read about your problem week.  Very sorry to hear about Chas being lost.  The other things are a nuisance but are only "things" - a misssing Chas is quite different. :(

Incidentally, I don't know how you fit all these things into a week in the time available.  Is it the wine that helps??

Well despite a leaflet drop and posters in local shops, near school, bus stops etc, haven't heard anything and he's still missing.

Ive been scouting round an area about a mile or so away where a "dirty white long hair" was reported to be roaming, but after eventually spotting the cat it wasn't chas (yes it was dirty white.. but not a true long hair), but I had to give it a try.

Even phone up City Link (I took in a parcel from a neighbour) as the last definite sighting of chas was 1/2 hour before I took the parcel in..  to see if the driver had seen a cat that may have hopped in the van - but thats drawn a blank too.

The last sighting definite sighting was 3pm on Monday in someones kitchen, but since then nothing.
The cat that was reported by the side of the road was Monday night, but Im not sure since although its only 5 mins walk away, its the other side of the main road.
Since he was poorly the other month he doesnt normally wander far now and sticks to his normal haunts so unless someone carried him across I cant imagine him doing so on his own. :/

It's horrible not knowing what's happened. I had a cat go missing for a week, then she came back half starving and thirsty. I assume that she got accidentally locked up in a neighbour's shed or something like that.

interesting looking bit of spam

No it wasnt "spam"... but basically last nite was a grand finale of a carp week..  you know the sort of thing when you think things cant get any worse, then something else happens?

Despite kim probably thinking she was doing the best thing, the content wasn't really appropriate for this forum.

The forum rules are here (http://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,6.0.html).  Whilst I realise there is no hard and fast rules, this is a "family orientated" forum, and I know the site is frequented by after school tech clubs etc.

I ask you to use your own judgement and think  would I feel comfortable saying that infront of a 9 yearold?  I really dont want to have to set some hard and fast rules because there will always be someone that does try to push limits.

Hope that helps.

I apologise.
I'll rephrase it.
