Post by: lemzip on March 01, 2011, 12:37:00 AM
Hi

Just a question for the engineers. Does the iplate have the bt rf3 filter built inside? Seem to be finding out yes or no answers.

The i-plate does indeed have a 'choke' to eliminate noise on the bell-wire. But I wouldn't personally call it a RF3 filter. This type of filter is a stand-alone item that is installed before the NTE5, whereas the i-plate as we know, is fitted on the NTE5.

It's easier and more effective to just pop the bell-wire off at source, ie - at the NTE.

@ Razpag,

Call me ultra cautious, but I usually remove the bell wire at all sockets just in case there is star wiring.

Kind regards,
Walter

Not "Ultra cautious" Walter ...... experienced and right-to-do-so are probably more apt ways of describing your actions buddy. ;D
