Title: BDUK progress
Post by: waltergmw on October 21, 2010, 12:16:00 AM
Gentlefolk,

This is obviously early days, but it does seem as if something is to be done for at least some of the have-nots.
Given that the monies announced seem significantly less than that suggested by BT, it will be interesting to see whether it changes the current FTTC / FTTH installation policy.
I would be very disappointed if this money were used to bolster the existing partial FTTC deployment in some areas.
How much better if it could be used exclusively for blanket coverage of FTTH area deployments.
I suppose in principle some of it could go to Virgin hopefully with the same proviso.

Kind regards,
Walter
