guys,
as per the title really, need to have a play with one for someone, and wondering which (i.e. netgear or dgteam, and which version of whichever) are people finding the most stable to run ??
ty in advance :)

Depends what you're trying to do, what might cause instability and what ISP it's with.
For vanilla stuff the latest Netgear firmware is fine.
I happen to use DGTeam 1014 with the 23o ADSL driver, but that's to meet my needs on a Be connection. It's been up without any glitches now for about 49 days.

Hi
I would suggest that for starters you use the latest netgear FM . Then if it seems to have problems try the dgteam . But be warned the latest DGteam FM was problematic . Not sure if its all been fixed .

One of the "challenges" with DGTeam is that, I think due to its size, flashing it (and recovering if it goes wrong) has proved to be problematic for some people.

Thanks guys, I'd remembered some fw's were a bit wobbly. Think I'll stick with netgear, there's always DMT or Routersats if needed ;)

I personally find DGTeam more stable as the DG834GT has a nasty habit of running out of memory with stock or Sky firmware causing it to hang, DGTeam however automatically tried to free up memory every so often so rarely hangs.
