Kitz, I know you helped me out with it (that is you on the keyboard, isn't it?) but it just will not connect with that Belkin modem with wireless router.

lol you could have gotten away with that. Since the length of instruction manuals was in the conversation I certainly didnt find it odd that you'd brought it up.
Quick go edit your above post.

Here's one I made earlier:

The photo reminded me when I first joined the new British Railways board Research Dept in Derby in the 70's ,they had a massive Analogue main frame computer that filed several rooms, the data input was punch cards and the output was on fan fold paper reams and reams of it , No internet connection in them days.

That was my first experience of computing too :D but you missed the bit about the wonderful decollating machine that removes the carbon paper from the delightful fan-folded prints - what a filthy job that was! I was quite nifty with the punch machine though
When I attended a first year degree class at Uni a couple of years ago, all these sweet 19 year olds were saying 'what's a mainframe?' Kids today, don't know they're born :graduate:

Ah yes, I have fond memories of writing progams in Algol and inputting them via punched cards back in the 70's.
