I didn't know there was a remake .... so I'll have to go with the orignal Bette Davis and Joan Crawford (No-one else could do it as good !)
The movie was remade for TV in the early 1990's, but I haven't a clue which version was released on DVD in 2006.

Steoh, if you read the question, it says the DVD was released in 2006..
As this film was so old I thought that the DVD would have been released long befiore 2006, it being a classic and all.
Saying that, had you asked me, I'd have said the film was released towards the end of the 1950's so that was wrong too :lol:

Steph, It was the release of the DVD that was playable on UK Region One players that took place in July.
The film, by the way was first released in the US 26/10/1962.
