Is anyone else experiencing a very slow site today ( and yesterday )....taking up to twenty-five seconds to load and something similar when clicking on an internal navigation link. ? :(
All other sites seem to be ok

Yes, it is odd..it does appear to be an intermittent issue.. :(.........but really nothing to worry about, I'm sure.. ;D

Im not aware that theres been any problems and I cant see anything on the SS.
I havent been doing anything that should impact on load time... and all seems well on the server.
Was it just the forums or was the main site experiencing problems too?
If it is just the forums, is it just certain pages within the forum?
Sometimes if the forums carry an external link to an av or other image that is hosted on a server that is having problems, this can also impact on load time.
For eg a while back when villagehosting where an av was having problems.. that was making any threads that was showing that av seem slow and take a while to load.
Google ads is another area that seemed to cause slowness at one time too.
If you see it again could you kindly check if youre just seeing it on the forums or on the main site too.
A page which pulls just static html is adsl information (http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/index.htm).
A very good page to check not just html and one that pulls quite a lot of information from lots of different tables on the database is the ISP contact Information (http://www.kitz.co.uk/isp/isp_contact.php).
That page runs quite a lot of queries and I think should put the server under a bit more load than the forum would.

On a more serious note: Sorry Kitz I didn't mean to infer that you would really be doing anything to interfere with the running of your website. I had not noticed any difference from day to day page loading, otherwise I would have made a point of saying so.

Yes, I could not get into the forum or the main site in the period from 1010 am to about 1022 am..........but seems to be zipping along again now.

Yes, it went extremely slow a few minutes ago, and the main site was the same, so I guess there was some temporary server issue.

Yesterday and today I've noticed with the forum intermittent slow page loading, and occasionally a page won't load at all. The main site appears to be loading quickly and properly.

Slow for me too. I had to "reload" in Firefox to get to this reply page but it is only intermittent and it's sometimes fine.

I too have had a few 'glitches' in the last couple of days, it's not caused an major problem, just had to click on things more than once at times and on occasion when trying to reply have received a blank page. Not bothered about it for myself, but if it helps the admin. in any way, glad to mention it.
