Reading through posts on the forum regarding problems people have with their BB connections, Im astounded by the number of people who post a problem then maybe make a few posts querying suggestions made, then disappear without even the slighest hint of gratitude for those who have taken the time to assist them. I currently work for a college, and in my work I try to go the extra mile with parents and students to help get the results they want, and in a similar fashion its usually a thankless task. But hey, at least I get paid to be crapped on in work :)
So Id just like to take this opportunity to thank the people who make the effort to offer advice and support to those of us who are a bit more technically challenged :) and offer you a virtual drink in this virtual alehouse... cheers

I appreciate your kind words, but I think it's fair to say that the ungrateful are in a minority. I take part in numerous technical forums and it's the same everywhere - most people are grateful for the help they get, but a few just can't be bothered to say so. Generally I think it's thoughtlessness rather than overt rudeness.
I don't think I would want to take part in forums like this if it were not for the warm feeling that comes from generous feedback from the other participants.

I think "feel grateful but can't be bothered to say so" is a clear form of rudeness. When people need help or encouragement a forum like this is indispensable. It only takes a few moments to come back on and say "Thank You" - and it means so much to others.
I really appreciate the help that I have had here - I keep looking to see if there are any problems that I can help with in return but sadly my technical knowledge seems too limited for the most problems that I see here ???
One day my chance will come!! - in the meantime I echo the thoughts of Chris P Duck and offer my thanks to everyone who helps out on this forum

(says me who has a "real hangover" this morning and has a vague recollection of coming in last night and "maybe" having a few problems with some of the keys on the keyboard).
I went round to a mates house last night to fix his PC - Payment is a chinese supper and as much wine as you can drink ;D

PS. where were our invites, as I for one am quite partial to a bit of crispy duck served with virtually a full glass of fizzy stuff.
All other sentiments have been said so will not repeat them.

Mind you I think after eating his Chris P Duck oldfogy would need the full glass of fizzy stuff he talked about - I suggest it might be Alka Seltzer! Thank goodness we vegetarians don't represent the same sort of threat to forum members!! :angel:

OMG Brown sugar and Banana sandwiches - I havent had one of those in years.
Crikey I can remember my gran making those as a Sunday night tea time thing - as she always did the full Sunday Roast thing at lunch.
