Title: LSS file extension

I have received an email with a .lss file extension. It is from a trustworthy source. Searching on the internet I could only gather that this is a Legato spread sheet. Not sure what that means and how to open it. Any ideas?

The file is supposed to contain some drawings.

I use Win XP SP3 + Office 2003.

Legato is part of "Lotus" software.
So you will probably have to install Lotus software to be able to read the email.

Can the sender not send it in another format?

I think thats what I will have to do now. Its just that the guy is out on a week's vacation. Just thought of trying my luck with a converter or something. Thanks.

Not sure if it's the same, but have just had a look at some of the options in MS Office and there is a converter for Lotus1-2-3 documents, which is set to install/run when required.

You could try "Right-clicking" the file and select "Open with" then chose either Word or Excel.

Worth a try.

If I remember correctly Legato is part of IBM/Works for OS/2. I have Lotus 123 and it wont open a Legato file. Somehow I doubt you will find anything to open it if indeed it is a Legato file. I think .lls files can be Lotus Script files as well but that wont be much help either. If its Legato I doubt many people still run OS/2  :no:
