I tried to upgrade VB to the latest using this 'Mandriva Linux VirtualBox-3.0.2_49928_mdv2009.1-1.i586.rpm ' as I could not see one for PCLinuxOS .
Trying to install it with KPackage ,I get
error: Failed dependencies:

rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) <= 4.4.6-1 is needed by VirtualBox-3.0.2_49928_mdv2009.1-1.i586
These are not in Synaptic !. so how do I get these?.
Another file on the Sun web site was 'VirtualBox-3.0.2-OSE.tar.bz2' But I cannot open it.
Help please.
Note . VirtualBox in Synaptic does not support USB, so that's why I have to use the ones from Sun.

There are several possibilities on the VB downloads page, (http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads) including one for PCLinuxOS 2007. If that doesn't work, then the 'All Distributions' version comes as an installable binary (.run) which might work.
I'm afraid I have no recent experience of VB, so I can't really help, but I rather think that it would be advisable to uninstall your current version before trying to install one of these new ones.

I'm on PCLinuxOS 2009.2 now :'( the one above I had installed about two years ago but it's been updated many times since then and you cannot go back to that because of how it works now..
I normally uninstall first with synaptic.
I will try Google for the missing files.
Thanks.

I will take it all back, the one on the download page for PCLinuxOS 2007 does work. ;D
They have updated it but not changed the PCLinuxOS 2007 to PCLinuxOS 2009 which I thought it was still the old one :'(.
I have installed it ok, I have a problem with the mouse freezing, but I will not let that beat me as I will get it sorted. ;)

I saw it was version 3.0.2 but I didn't know if it would work with PCLOS 2009. :)
