Well at those prices what did they expect.
Unless the real release price will be lower than stated.
If not I think I could sell one and have one free.

I am still un-decided as to whether I want Windows 7 or not on my main machine.
My new laptop (I hope) to get from Dell will qualify for a free upgrade to Windows 7 so I may try it on there first before hand.
I don't really need it but apparently its much less resource hungry than Vista is...
-
Thought I'd mention I moved the Windows 7 Availability list to its own thread as I updated the availability

thanks jid :)

Why not give the Release Candidate a try? I've had it on my notebook for several weeks now and it's been very solid, and although it's no XP it definitely feels and works a lot better than Vista. The only hassle has been getting together some of the drivers (most of the Vista ones work) but these should hopefully be readily available by the time it ships.
-
Hmm I notice acording to the upgrade advisor my Printer and LAN driver isn't compatible, don't know if the Vista ones would work though...
As for trying the RC, I may give it a go as the OS looks impressive and I haven't got a lot of time to get my order in for a cheap copy...

My computer is quite old and apart from a few small things only the networck card (3 Com) is not supported.
