At www.118800.co.uk (http://www.118800.co.uk/) you will find details of a new service which means anyone wishing to find a mobile number can contact these folks and they will either call you to see if you want to accept the call, or text you if there is no reply with the callers details. Apparently this is an opt out service, so if you want to avoid cold calls like this for any reason you can send a text containing an uppercase E to 118800. There are other ways of opting out apparently. Watch this space for it being used for commercial purposes.
