Title: BT iplate

I have just read about this in the Sunday Paper.  Thought had only just come to market but found an old thread dated May 2008 about the self same product.

In this Roseway advised that if you have a filtered master socket then it would be of not offer any advantages.  Simple question how do I know if my master socket is filtered?

Thanks for the link.  I should have realised that Kitz would have covered this and looked myself.

The first socket in my house is just an ordinary BT socket not an NET5 socket as shown on link and thus the iplate won't fit.

If you want a proper NTE5 master socket, BT will fit one for £28.75 (see near the bottom of this page. (http://www.serviceview.bt.com/list/public/current/Exch_Lines_boo/0002_d0e63.htm#0002-d0e63) )

I don't want to take this thread off topic, but what exactly is happening with the new external NTE socket?  Is it going to replace the NTE5?
