Hi
Does anyone use this ?.
I have run Belarc Advisor on my machine (vista) and it reports that I have
1 : 8 Microsoft security updates missing . But running update in Windows tells me there are No more updates
2: Virus Protection Unknown . but I am using AVAST

Belarc is OK, but I prefer either Everest or SIW:
Everest

SIW (System Information for Windows)

I have used Belarc quite often and find it quite useful.
I have only used SIW on about 2 occasions I did find it very good and found that it's reports seem a lot more user friendly.
The missing updates could possibly be updates you have hidden (Do not show again)
Or updates that have not installed properly.
There should be a update number with each of them, so you could try going direct to the MS site and download them again.
I now use Avast on my Vista PC and it'is recognised OK.
I think Maybe that's just one of those things that Belarc doe's not recognise.

Hi
Very impressed with
SIW .Lots of info ,more than I can understand ! But some very useful.
Something interesting though . This does not recognise AVAST as an AV ,also it has 2 entries for Zonealarm one as firewall but "not active " the other as an AV "active " need to investigate that .

I havent tried Everest as there has been no support since 2006 ?
