Hi,
Does anyone know of any software that will convert .vob files output by DVD Shrink into one MP4 file I can put on my iPod Touch or play on my PC?
I can play the files seperately through VLC but it doesn't allow it to go on my iPod.
Anyone know of any good free software / or cheap software I can use to do this?
Cheers
Jamie:)

Just on the off chance you missed this paragraph (as it's got a long write-up.
To copy a DVD (that you legally purchased) into a valid iPod/iPhone format, we recommend that you also use the best available DVDDecrypter to decrypt the entire DVD and copy the VOB files to your HardDisk in order to encode
them with SUPER ©. Note that DVDDecrypter is also a Freeware.
DVD Shrink will also do the same job.
I only mention that because i have better luck with DVD Shrink.

As it's a program I have never used and therefore can't recommend, here is a link that may be useful.

I can recommend its great for PSP'S.It does a whole host of other devices also. But i will say that in order for a movie to work on a psp you have to change dvd decrypt to no file splitting and adjust the video quality to 80%.Some settings may have to be altered depending on which device one has.

I have now found that Handbrake suits me better as it is much easier to configure and setup.
Thanks to all for your suggestions. They are most appreciated:)

Wait until the dos window closes automatically after it says the encoding is done.

Hi,
You could try looking ffmpeg. It's free. http://ffmpeg.org/ (http://ffmpeg.org/)
It's most at home on Linux, where I use it.
There are Windows versions which I haven't tried. http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/builds/ (http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/builds/)
Here's a typical article on what you want to do:
