Post by: GWaddy on February 02, 2009, 02:17:30 PM
just found this http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/introducing-measurement-lab.html (http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/introducing-measurement-lab.html).

one of the test is intended to determine if your ip is blocking/throttling P2P traffic :-X

Thanks for posting the linky..
I had a play with their tools the other day..  it told me there was no p2p throttles on my connection.
Warning though the test can take a while to complete and that it can get very busy.

iirc though one of the test results had me puzzled saying my connection was limited somewhere to 10Mb ethernet.  It didnt say where though and my own network is supposed to be Gbit ethernet  ???  Since I can get up to 20Mbps on speedtests Im assuming that it must be something at their end. :shrug2:

It told me that my connection is limited too (I forget the value quoted, but it was less than I have).
