Title: Grisoft AGV Users - Info'
Post by: canon on February 13, 2007, 11:12:54 AM
Hi,
I recently became aware that AGV was not scanning outgoing mail.
Other users may be interested in this if you didn't already know.

Grisoft support said: -
"The outgoing e-mails scanning is disabled by default because considerable number of users had
problems with their ISP or SMTP settings and blamed AVG for these problems.
If you want, you can enable outgoing e-mails scanning this way: Open AVG Control centre, double
click on "E-mail Scanner", choose "Personal E-mail Scanner" plugin and click on "Properties" button.
Select "Servers" tab, click on "SMTP: Host: Automatic" and click on "Modify" button. Here tick the
"Activate the server and use..." checkbox at the bottom of the window. Then click on all OK button
to confirm changes. Outgoing e-mails are scanned now.
If you have any problems with sending e-mails through AVG E-mail Scanner I recommend that you
disable the SMTP Automatic server back."
