DGteam has released modified firmwares for the DG834G v1-4. These seem to be based on the latest official firmware. I am using the latest release on my DG834GT and it is excellent.
Go on, give it a go...you know you want to.

PS Reply notifications do not seem to be getting though to my valid email addy.

It's not a facility I use, but perhaps you need to enable the option "When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)" ?

I've upgraded the firmware on my DG834GT to this latest version
If it's V1.02.16 - DGTeam Rev. 0841 I did that a little while back; it's very stable.
My line was very happy (on a nominal 3dB Be profile slightly "adjusted") meandering between about 1.5 and 3.5dB downstream for over a week with no breaks at all. It's now pushed further (and faster) and more in the 1 to 2dB range where it's been stable for the last couple of days.

Thanks - they've been busy recently. ;D
Not many changes there relevant to DG834GT (or me) so I'll stay on 841 until I next need to reboot.
(downloaded 848 in preparation though) ;)

The option I have enabled should still send an email.

Does the DGTeam firmware have PPPoE relay functionality?
Edit: Found out it does.

I have just flashed a GT with the team firmware.
Got any tips on settings to get the best out of a MAXdsl connection?
Any other advice most welcome.

Is the DGTeam site down i can connect to the first page, but it wont allow me on to the download site.

I just upgraded my DG834GT with the DGTeam firmware and all looks good.
But I have one small niggle, DMTv8 does not work with the new firmware; it worked fine with the Netgear standard fw.
When connecting it displays "Error. can not identify modem type ". See attached.
Does anyone have a solution?

As a stab in the dark, have you tried "allow untested firmware" from the Special menu, Misc. Options window?

Having just got my net gear DG834GT. could someone tell me which is the correct DGTeam firm ware ?
My router firmware is V1.02.14
I can not see DGTeam firmware for the above.

Go here. (http://dgteam.ilbello.com/index.php?pid=5) Choose a mirror and pick the version labelled DG834GT_V1.02.16_DGTeam_0848.zip. Unzip the downloaded file and you have the firmware.
