Title: Annexe M
Post by: Ammit on November 26, 2008, 12:23:37 PM
Hey everyone!

I have been looking into some of the new ADSL2+ technology and noticed that Be offer annexe m - speeds up to 3.3mbps upload!

Can anyone explain more about annexe m technology (and why its' called this) and maybe the history of annexe m.

I here rumours about ADSL3 as well, any further info on this?? i know i know i should be satisfied with what i've got right now.  I would just like to know more about the technology that makes these faster speeds possible.  I have googled etc but thought i'd ask on here too seeing as there are many clued up folks here.

:-)

Annex M at Be goes up to 2.5mbits.
Have a rummage on Wikipedia and you'll find a lot of information.

Yeah sorry annexe m the technology offers up to 3.5mbps upstream not 3.3 and yes be only offer 2.5 of that.

The point of my posting was just to throw the line out on here really and see what people had to say about it.  Nm.

You can see how Annex M achieves the higher upload speeds in the first couple of paragraphs of this article. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITU_G.992.5_Annex_M)

Nothing wrong with asking a question, either everyone else wants to ask the same thing but were too afraid to ask or every one thinks, Good question I'ld never thought of that. and so everyone learns something new because someone had the courage to ask

Theres no such thing as a stupid question but they're the easiest to answer.
