Title: D-Link DSL-2740b and Routerstats
Post by: broadstairs on October 25, 2008, 05:59:51 PM
Sorry to be a pain but I now cannot get Routerstats to work reliably with my DSL-2740b. It seems to lose connection. Can anyone tell me if there is a magic incantation to getting it working? I am using 4.6c and the router has the latest firmware. DMT works but I like the simple graph and log file of Routerstats.

If you log into the router Web config, RouterStats will now work.

As Router uses the .cgi file to log you in and not HTTP, even though your login details are in RouterStats, it cannot use them :-\

Therefore, everytime you want to use router stats, you will need to log in to the web interface first.

You will not need to leave the browser window though ;)

Thanks for that, I've left the browser window open and left Routerstats running now so at least I can monitor it for a couple of days to see how it all goes.
