Title: Cannot receive email form talktalk users

I have this weird problem: TalkTalk users are not able to send me email. TalkTalk won't take the problem seriously but clearly I could be missing business because of it, so I do.

The error I get is this:

The following message to <email address> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.4.7 - Delivery expired (message too old) 'timeout'

AFAICT it never even gets queued for delivery.

Ian,
TT probably won't listen to you as you are not a customer of theirs.
Perhaps you could get one of your customers whom you know to be a TT customer to contect his ISP and try to get it sorted that way.
I find it unusual for you to get the 'time out' message, as it is normally the sender who is informed that their email has not been delivered not the intended recipient.
Sorry that I cannot be more helpful at the moment. What OS and ISP are you using? Also. is their a block on your firewall that is blocking just TT emails. Can you email someone with a TT email account and if so does it get delivered?

Hi Dave

Funnily enough I am a BB customer (though my main BB is Zen). They will talk to me but then they go off saying we'll have to pass it on to 3rd line tech support and that's a black hole (afaict).

I expect I shall just have to nag them again - eventually it'll get easier to fix than to avoid.

Anytime. I have been flat out of late with bits on the go at work, i haven't had alot of time to stop by. I am hoping to get onlinem more next week.

It would be interesting to know what the problem was.
