Title: Dr Speedtouch - Anyone have an installer ?
Post by: MagicBeaver on August 29, 2008, 10:05:31 AM
Hi.. yes, I know that I can find Dr Speedtouch at the dsl zone link from the routerstats page, however.. the version there is acting rather oddly..

It's version info is:
  application ver 1.0.0.17
  plugin ver 2.1.0.9

Now for the weird stuff:
  ReceiveAttenuation= 92
  ReceiveMargin= 61
  SendAttenuation= 58
  SendMargin= 62

The figures are quite odd, but then, the _db suffixes are missing, so I suppose its possible this version is reporting raw data rather than in db.. either way, not much use for me!

Trying to figure out my attenuation & snr.. (I already know it is not good.. ), so It's possible that the version of dr speedtouch archived over at dslzone is not outputting the correct values, so Im wondering if anyone has an archived copy of the original dr_st_300.zip from the old url www(dot)speedtouch(dot)co(dot)uk/downloads/330/dr_st_300.zip

If so, I'd be real interested in having a shot at using it to see if the output isnt quite as crazy.

Thanks.
MagicBeaver.

The only one I know about is the DSL depot link @ http://www.dsldepot.com/download.asp?fileid=181

Unfortunately Thompson seem to have removed it from their site :/
