At 4.51am this morning, someone hit the pictured FTTC cabinet and crushed it:

I'm not sure what that link is supposed to show . . . but it doesn't seem to be working. :-\

Any better?

I've attended quite a few "knock down" cabinets and cut of electrical supplies in my prior role - one specific one in Romford has been hit at least 3 times I know of most by Tesco delivery lorries :)

Odd, it worked yesterday, as I clicked on it prior to your reply, and it showed a Google maps street view.

I'm just surprised the wall is still standing

Any better?
Yes, thank you. I now see a cabinet equipped with an ECI Hi-FOCuS MiniShelf M41.
That latter fact could be a contributor to the cabinet's demolition. :D

I did wonder . . . But that, surely, indicates that the cabinet demolition was a planned act? :-\

I too am surprised that the wall did not sustain any damage if the cab was crushed. Is there some sort of journalistic exaggeration at work here as to the amount of damage sustained to the cab. Without photos we dont know.

It seems to be a hot spot for accidents. Linky (https://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/news/transport/concerned-parents-demand-dangerous-crossing-is-made-safe-before-children-die-3601733)

There used to be a bench on the corner, it would have saved the cabinet.

here they install msag on a big concrete block and in a metal cage, with a warning "electrostatic discharge equipment"

Not so good if anyone was sat on though!
