Three have enabled 5G in my area and the speeds are decent but nothing like the potential of 5G, I assume its because the backhaul isn't too decent.
Max speeds I've seen is 260mbit down on the mast I can see from the window.
My device is a MU5001 with a smarty sim and I've seen it as high as 800mbit dl and 100mbit upload on another mast, so its not the device limiting me so unless they upgrade the backhaul it looks like I'll be in the 160-260 range for now.

My device is a MU5001 . . .
A ZTE MU5001 is currently priced at £399.99 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZTE-MU5001-Unlocked-Portable-Hotspot/dp/B07VKNKKW4). :swoon:

Some people got them for like £20 but no such luck for myself.
Got one for £150 from CEX though I'm not that mental.

you could get a enterprise 5G router for slightly more than that: https://www.wifi-stock.co.uk/details/mikrotik-ultimate-home-ap-with-ultra-fast-lte5g-support-chateau-5g-rbd53g-5hacd2hnd-tc.html
Locally standing 100 metres away from my three 5g mast, I see 270/130 on a redmi note 9t 5g.
A lot of 3 masts still have only 1 gig backhaul.

I'm feeling very fortunate my mast performs as well as it does now. Quite frankly its been a change-changer seeing as I switch to it for game updates then back to Zen the rest of the time.
Its been a nice glimpse into what Gigabit FTTP should feel, no longer having to do that song and dance, just a reliable fast download.
