Title: FTTP literally around the corner -- connect as they go?
Post by: displaced on March 05, 2022, 07:55:35 PM
Hi!

So, one.network's showing Netomnia working literally just around the corner after getting progressively closer.

My telegraph pole's already been rodded and roped, with that tantalising blue rope tied around it.

In my excitement (I know, I know...), I'm wondering if customers get connected up as the network reaches their homes.  Or, if there's a load of build-out everywhere that happens before customers are connected.

I imagine the answer will be "it depends", or something.  And I know really I've just got to have some patience.  But, enquiring minds and all that! :)

That is indeed the answer, it depends. If people very close can already order that's more positive. Once they've done the background work they'll activate new poles and chambers ASAP.
