Title: New Mikrotik flagship - CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ
Post by: Reformed on February 20, 2022, 05:28:32 AM
So this is a beast. Apparently it'll be about E2000 which is insanely cheap for that performance.

I haven’t read all the docs yet. It’s a router. Is it also a stateful[?] firewall as well?

It can do stateful firewalling, yes.

I want it to prepare and cook my dinner at that price.  :P

Seriously though, it is indeed rather cheap for what it is.  The most I've paid on networking kit so far has been the Netgear MS510TXUP with the idea being I probably wont ever need to upgrade it again in my life time.  Although I'll probably end up paying as much as Netgear for a router once an x86 appliance with multi-gig or 10Gbit ports is available.
