Title: Zen unable to reset DLM
Post by: Alex Atkin UK on December 14, 2021, 06:55:08 PM
Had a curious one.

As I no longer have my Plusnet line but the drop wire got replaced a few months back, also seeing an improvement in my Zen line statistics, I decided to try to get the banding removed.

Zen got back in touch saying the system wont let them reset DLM as its not recognising the service ID.  ???

They're going to try again but said they might have to raise it as a fault which seems overkill for a DLM issue.  Any idea whats going on here?

They did seem to suggest its still a TTB line, does that mean they have to get Talk Talk to request the DLM reset rather than doing it directly?  Bearing in mind my physical line rental is still BT Basic.

Basically yes.
It's the supplier purchasing the GEA circuit from Openreach who deals with it

If the line is provided by BT Wholesale or Talktalk Business then it is them that request the DLM reset from Openreach.

If the line was with Zen backhaul then they should be able to request the reset themselves.

The line rental element doesn't matter.

I did not expect the errors remain this low, especially given its christmas light season.

Fingers crossed it stays this way until FTTP is ready.
