Title: Questions about VMG1312-T20B
Post by: Weaver on December 13, 2021, 04:54:31 PM
Andrews and Arnold mentioned the VMG 1312-T20B to me. I don’t know much about it other than the fact that it supports G.vector. Does it have the good analog front end in it as in the VMG 1312-B10A ? (and not in the -B10D.)

Does ZyXEL publish the source code for it ? And provide pointers to the required toolset, so that one can build the whole thing oneself ?

Knowing that you have difficulty with the forum search interface, here is a list of all posts which reference that ZyXEL device --

The VMG1312-T20B uses a Mediatek SoC.  :-X

Yes, I couldn’t think to use the search facility; too much pain and then -thank goodness- some morphine. The latter is greatly preferable; at least quite comfortable now.

Ah, so no Broadcom goodness. I take it that MediaTek is not wonderful, mind you I got on well with the DLink DSL-320B-Z1 but they were now I think somewhat over aggressive. No Broadcom stats, I presume. And presumably no PhyR which would be an absolute killer.

The PHY part is going to be a binary blob regardless.
