Title: Pole equipment ?FTTP
Post by: rbgb on October 10, 2021, 07:25:50 PM
Hi,

These boxes and cables have started to appear on the BT poles in our road this last week.
Are they FTTP distribution equipment?
Exciting if they are :)

I would strongly suspect so.

The 'Trooli' written on the box would strongly suggest it's Trooli (FTTP altnet) that is rolling out in your area.

Excellent - Thank You. I had not heard of them before but looked on their website now and our village is listed as coming soon.

Where are you based?  Assuming Kent somewhere.

I see a lot of Trooli equipment around the local area and they do appear to be rolling out their network at a vast rate of knots at the moment!

So actually Fordham in Cambridgeshire - looks like they are rolling out to quite a few of the villages near by us - a fairly rural area that has always been under served by broadband options. I wonder if it had anything to do with BTs FTTP trials in Mildenhall that is not too far away?
