One of the original Openreach branded ECI CPEs, with the easy-to-open case and has been unlocked (with the aid of two clothes pegs) allowing access to the GUI, is available.

The cardboard box carries a label which states --

This is Lantiq device and, as such, it might be possible to install OpenWRT . . . I have not investigated.

Wasn't aware the GUI ever got unlocked on these, I thought we went straight to OpenWRT for that?

Yes, the GUI unlocking was another of asbokid's successes.
