Title: NHS data gathering
Post by: broadstairs on June 22, 2021, 04:38:42 PM
Recently this has come to the fore again as the NHS/Government are intent on collection users medical record data from GP surgeries and the opt out I believe ends on 30th June. How many here have opted out again this time? I certaily have and so has 'er indoors'  ;) as neither of us trust either organisation with the security of our personal data. If you need to go to https://www.nhs.uk/your-nhs-data-matters/manage-your-choice/ (https://www.nhs.uk/your-nhs-data-matters/manage-your-choice/) and follow the instructions.

I have read that there are two different opt outs, one for GPs, and one for data:

Still not sure of the benefits of opting in, just like that Brexit thing, everyone mentions leaving, but no one is mentioning remaining...

Thanks I thought we had already opted out of that ages ago but perhaps not.

The start of this data sharing and thus the opt out period has been deferred from 1 July to 1 September 2021.
