ADMIN can you remove or merge this please
Sorry its been a loooong week
Hi im on vdsl2 fttc and my router says VDSL2 sync rate 59343 but ip profile brass not moving from 40002 and isp says its syncs at 40000
A new router and 3 test modems and routers say 59343 and sometimes it moves to 62000
Is the ip profile stuck and a miss match
My download is at 36 but its was 57
My speed was 57/12 the PN tricked my wife in to a new contract by offering a new router and lower price but didnt say anything about the contract
My speed was 57 then at five past midnight on the day the new contract started the speed dropped to 33/5
They say it was not them and im on 80/20, but come on, 5 minutes into the start of the contract
They also read it to us last week and it said i agreed to 35 down
I did not and never saw it
Its ended now as it started in 2017 to 2019 but the speed it still about half
Is it pn or a stuck brass ip line profile?
Thanks

That definitely sounds wrong, although I can't imagine you'd push 57 except when connected at 62 but you're right that you definitely shouldn't be stuck with a 40 profile.

Sorry 57 at the start but later about 55
55was solid for two years, then recontract started and down to 32 to 35
for two years
Last week i called pn about Qos adjust as downloads were stopping all other traffic in live chat
The next thing i knew was a line retrain and 0.4 up 20 down
Thinking it was the router i got a new one and tested the socket but nothing went up
Later the line restarted (still training) and the sync went to 62 but the down was still 20
Then more restarts and the down went to 36 and up went to 5.5 with the sync 62 to 55 to 57 to 59
But brass ip profile never went over 40002, and now still is
My old router may have gone bad but not sure, but the new one is better
But on all routers the speed never goes over 36
The speed in the contract and plusnets lower package
A strange thing, the name of my top packege was unlimited fiber a 20/80 one
Then on new contract and pn new packages came out called
Unlimited fiber extra 20/80
Unlimited fiber something/35
My package name was still unlimited fiber from the start until one year into the new contract
when i complained so they renamed it to extra and said oh you are still on 80
Last week they read the now ended contract and it said 35
I also talked to a faults guy who admitted the is a workplace profile on thier software at 40 max (i think thats what he called it)
Then yeasterday they said no your on 20/80
Is it true talktalk dont use brass ip profiles
Thanks
