After  many years I’ve today left Plusnet. I feel euphoric 😊

Congratulations! It's time to make an adjustment to your signature block.  ;)

To be fair I'm still on the ECI G.INP trial, so once I leave Plusnet it will be to cancel that line entirely ready for FTTP and just keeping 4G as backup.

So far it also seems the G.INP trial has disabled DLM, as my line has resynced 14 times since I switched back to the HH5A and no sign of banding or other changes.  Though quite why it periodically resyncs when using the HH5A I have no idea, the error rate has been a lot lower since they replaced my drop cable.

I’ve seen comments that the HH periodically reboots, my be some TR69 activities perhaps ?

Its running OpenWRT so can't be that and no the box itself doesn't reboot, it just drops sync and only on the G.INP line as you see as both are using HH5A.

I think the chipset is just buggy with G.INP as even tried different modem firmware and seems to behave the same regardless.

I'm still on the G.inp trial.   DLM is definitely still live.
G.inp doesnt work well on my line - the daily does of SHINE that lasts a few secs ane then is fine for the rest of the day has caused DLM to apply Re-tx high and also banding at several steps.  :/

Darn, you're right, thing have been sneakily happening in the background and I think my line is now banded.

More curiously is it takes minutes to get sync now.

Also curiously resyncs seems to have reset when I switched back to the default firmware version.

Plusnet might have customers for life, imagine if g.inp never makes it out of trial, customers will know if they migrate out they lose it.

Great move by the isp as a customer retainer. :)

They only had around 20 people on the trial and some of them have left Plusnet already.
That's unlikely to make a difference to customer retention figures.

And the rest of us will probably get FTTP in the next few years.
