Title: HG612 access via LAN1
Post by: AlienatedCargo on March 13, 2021, 08:31:21 AM
Hi all,

So I have the HG612 connected to a Huawei router and it's working OK but with high SNR. I have it running via an extension socket elsewhere in the house so I can connect LAN1 to Huawei's WAN socket and LAN2 so I can view stats etc.

I would like to move the HG612 to the master socket but there's only 1 power socket and it's right behind a door so I planned to wall mount it and run a cable between there and the router location but when I originally installed the custom firmware to the HG612 I read that LAN2 needed to be connected in order to view stats? Is this still the case or is there a way to access stats etc using only LAN1 port?

Thanks

Richard
